RCMP report of a collision with a Cessna 150 aircraft involving John Breen, a gander Newfoundland air traffic controller who was also a pilot/instructor accompanied by a student pilot.
ATC Gander drew the object in two passes, then it disappeared from their screens, and at this time Brin noticed the object at the bottom, as he assumed, at the level of the top of the tree.
The latter seems significant - almost as if the damn thing knew it was being watched and dropped to a level in the treetops to avoid radar.
This event was included in Maritime.
