Geraldo da Costa was riding home on his horse when an oval-shaped object flew over him at a height of less than ten feet (3 m) above the ground. The ship had many colored lights and radiated a strong heat wave.
He continued driving and, after about 50 yards (45 m), came across an object on the ground.
Two little men stood nearby. They had big eyes and long hair. One asked him to help them, and then the other reached out and touched his shoulder. Suddenly Geraldo found himself floating to the ground, and the frightened horse was running away. He remembered shouting for help, but then fainted.
The next day, he was found lying in a nearby bamboo grove. He had a red six-inch (15.27 m) scar on the inside of one arm and five tiny stab wounds, two on each side of his chest and waist and one on his left shoulder. There was a silver border around the holes, which gradually disappeared as the wounds healed. He could barely speak after the meeting and lost a lot of energy.

The holes had silver edging around them, which gradually disappeared as the injuries healed. He could barely speak after the encounter and lost his vigorous energy.
