Here's the MUFON report, but it's about an observation that happened back in 1985.
The witness States:
On a clear spring day shortly before sunset, three witnesses were driving West on highway 20 from highway 49, below Camptonville, California.
As we turned a sharp bend just past the old quarry near Bullard's bar, we came across three silver disks landing in a field to the right of the road.
I pulled on my right shoulder just as the big disks suddenly shot up in a powerful ascent. My friend [name deleted] and I felt the need to jump out of the car and race to the center of the highway, where we stood looking excitedly at the saucers - I didn't feel any fear ... I felt elation and awe.
I estimated the diameter of each disk to be between 50 and 75 feet (15-22.5 m). Above us, the disks covered most of the sky.
They looked quite solid and metallic, with very specific mechanical characteristics, including a Central opening from which a powerful conical beam projects straight down from each disk.
The color of the beam was a bright bluish-white, and we were bathed in light, but we could still see details under the disks. I don't remember a sound, but there may have been wind - these details have become very blurry in the 35 years since the meeting. I remember that the three disks were connected in a tight triangular formation, with one disk forming a vertex above the other two.
When the disks reached a height of more than a hundred feet, they briefly hovered. Then all together they tilted about 45 degrees and headed South, which took them right across the highway and over the Feather river canyon, which we didn't notice on our left.
As the ship moved over the canyon, the conical beams seemed to illuminate most of the valley - the beams must have been extremely powerful, especially since it wasn't quite dark yet. When the objects reached an angle in the sky that could have been 60 degrees to our left, they suddenly disappeared, leaving three glowing purple clouds where each disk disappeared. These clouds remained visible and glowed softly throughout the half-hour it took us to reach Forbestown, where we were temporarily halted.
It should be noted that I am aware of a significant degree of amnesia both during and after the meeting.
I seem to recall a previous encounter that may have taken place about half an hour before the memorable encounter - I even have a General idea of where that first encounter might have taken place-on highway 49 over Camptonville, California.
I always thought we were kidnapped, but I can't remember it consciously. In addition, the third witness (my mother) remained in the car during the main event. She was paralyzed with fear and couldn't or didn't want to look above ground level, so she only saw the preliminary scene when the objects were just starting to take off. She can't remember seeing the disks themselves, but she did see what she thought might be something like nozzles or cylindrical objects - possibly some parts on the bottom of the disks.
I lost contact with [name deleted] after surveillance, and I don't know anything about his whereabouts 35 years later.
My mother is now 85 years old and is falling into dementia, so she is no longer available to give evidence.
Now I have no proof other than the sketch I drew and the conversations that family members remembered to whom I told my experiences over the years.
This meeting made a strong impression on me: my health improved for a long time, and my interests and beliefs completely changed. I became very obsessed with UFOs and extraterrestrials after the encounter and have been doing research ever since.
I went back to the meeting place many times as I tried to trace the entire event - once I even brought my entire family there during a meeting.
I have had other, possibly related, events Dating back to the age of three or earlier - I have recorded many of them.

Now here is a MUFON report just in, but its about a sighting that happened back in 1985...35 years ago. Why is this important? Because we learn from past sightings to compare, contrast and evaluate future sightings. The person really put their heart into this report...it had meaning, purpose and became a part of the persons life that changed them forever. They are opening up to us...and its up to us to give them our trust and attention.

I estimate the size of each disc to have been between 50 and 75 feet in diameter. Above us, the discs blocked out most of the sky. They appeared quite solid and metallic, with very definite mechanical features - including a central opening from which a powerful conical beam projected straight down from each disc. I don't recall any sound, but there might have been a wind - those details have grown very fuzzy over the 35 years since the encounter. As the craft traveled over the canyon, the conical beams appeared to light up a big portion of the valley - the beams would have to have been extremely powerful to do so, especially considering that it wasn't quite dark yet. When the objects reached an angle of what might have been 60 degrees in the sky over to our left, they abruptly vanished, leaving three glowing purple clouds where each disc had disappeared. Those clouds remained visible and softly glowing for the entire half-hour that it took us to complete our drive home to Forbestown, where we were temporarily staying at the time. It should be noted that I am aware of a considerable amount of amnesia both during and after the encounter. I seem to recall a previous encounter which might have occurred about a half-hour before to the remembered encounter - I even have a general sense of approximately where that first encounter might have occurred - along Hwy 49 above Camptonville, California. I always felt that we were abducted - but I can't consciously remember it. Also, the third witness (my mother) remained in the car during the main event. She was paralyzed with fear, and couldn't or wouldn't look above the ground level, so she only saw the preliminary scene when the objects were just beginning to take off. I was profoundly affected by the encounter, with a long-term improvement in my health and a complete change in my interests and beliefs. I became quite obsessed with UFOs and ETs after the encounter, and I've been researching ever since. I've made many trips back to the encounter site, as I tried to retrace the whole event - once I even took my whole family there during a reunion. I've had other, possibly related experiences going back to age three or before - I've written many of them down.
