Driving East on the old Montauks highway by my nephew we saw a very bright light in the Southeast. Although I am very familiar with the road and know that the ocean is on my right, for some reason I thought it was a light at the top of the tower. Suddenly I remembered that there were no towers in the ocean. It was at this point that the light became brighter.
In a few minutes, the light was brighter than anything I'd ever seen. As it grew brighter, the impression of an approaching plane was created. My nephew kept asking me what it could be, and I said it must be a plane. When it got very close, we realized it was moving too slowly to be an airplane, so I told it it had to be a helicopter.
When we reached the intersection of the Montauk highway and the old Montauk highway, my nephew leaned out of the window to look up and see the object that was about to fly over us.
He told me:
"It's not a helicopter. You'd better stop and take a look at this."
I stopped the car and turned off the engine. Looking up, I saw a metal object slowly fly overhead at an altitude of about 200-400 feet (60-120 m).
There were no wings, no rotors, no visible engines, no sound. He held the Gong to the Northwest, and we decided to follow him. We went about a couple of miles North of the Montauk highway. We found the object hovering just above the power lines and about 1/4 mile ahead, and I parked the car. The object was very clearly visible in the moonlight.
When I flashed the yellow marker lights, it flashed yellow lights. When I flashed my lights, the taillights flashed. In fact, I was hoping to be "kidnapped" and sent into space.
We lost sight of it because we thought we saw an orange light among a group of trees on a small island in a small lake. We went to the lake and looked, but nothing happened. After sitting there for a while, there was a kind of hissing sound, similar to the sound of engines on U2. All the dry wild grass was trembling. No objects were visible at the time, and we were mostly in a large open space with a few homes in the area and no industrial buildings. Some time later, we saw very bright stars overhead. Brighter Than Venus.
The star grew brighter and brighter until a bright blue ray of light came out of it, and then it darkened. We observed what looked like a jet contrail, but this one continued to sink closer and larger. Eventually, when the trail was several thousand feet high, it took the shape of a whale. By this time, 4 hours had passed. Nothing happened, we went to get food.
Throughout the experience, it seemed to me that someone was in contact with me. I've never had such a strong feeling before. A few weeks later, I had the same feeling again when killer whales appeared off the coast. I felt like the same someone. I always knew when the whales would appear, and one of them would soon surface if I kept looking.
Because of this feeling, I came to the conclusion that the UFO was occupied by people who had long since left Earth. I have no idea what it really was, but in my opinion it would be just as impressive if it was created here on Earth by people who have mastered anti-gravity traction, as if it came from another world.
The object had a flat, smooth bottom, and the height of the top was about the same height as the width of the bottom. It was not a saucer, but rather an inverted cone, but not pointed at the top. The sides are quite steep, the front and back were some forms from the bottom up. It looked like bare aluminum, like an unpainted airplane. I don't remember any Windows or openings.
The winter population of Montauk in those days was probably several thousand or less. Few will come out at this hour. I often wondered why no one reported it, but we didn't report it either. There's a top-secret military base a few miles to the West. It seemed like no one ever knew what was going on there, but you could see a big rotating radar-type thing. People thought it was part of NORAD, but I don't think they really knew.
The next day we returned to this place in the afternoon and were very surprised to see that the lake is a grass field. The night before, we didn't go near the orange light because it looked like water to us. There is only a grassy field with a house in the middle.
I think that those who were engaged in this craft, played with our thoughts. I think they noticed when I overcame the first illusion and noticed that there was no tower in the ocean. They seemed interested in us. I can't imagine what visitors from another planet would be so interested in this particular place. If this was some secret military anti-gravity ship, why would they fly directly over the city?

As it got brighter it gave the impression of an aircraft moving closer. My nephew kept asking me what it could be and I said it has to be an airplane. As it got very close we realized it was moving too slow to be an airplane so I told him it has to be a helicopter. As we reach the intersection of montauk highway and old montauk highway my nephew leaned out the window to look up and see the object about to pass overhead. He told me “That is no helicopter. You better stop and get a look at this.” I stopped the car and shut the engine. Looking up I saw a metallic object pass slowly overhead at perhaps 200-400 feet.

I was actually hoping to be “abducted” and taken for a ride in space. We lost sight of it because we thought we saw an orange light amid a clump of trees on a small island in a small lake. We moved close to the lake and watched but nothing happened. After siting there for some time there started a kind of hissing sound, similar to the engines on a U2.
