On December 14, 1994, a series of unusual events occurred in Trumbull County, Ohio.
Just after midnight on a late autumn night, emergency service operators received a series of calls. All these reports concerned one thing-reports of low-flying UFOs. Most of these calls were heard by dispatcher Roy Ann Rudolph.
The reports mostly concerned fairly fast-moving unknown objects / light sources that seemed to be descending. Naturally, at first, the 911 operators thought that the callers were seeing a balloon, plane, helicopter, or other everyday object.
But because of the extraordinary number of calls, Rudolph decided to notify the police Liberty Township. The first police unit contacted felt that the reports probably had nothing to worry about and that the plane was probably flying low.
Sergeant Toby Meloro was the first officer to arrive at the scene as he continued down Samson Drive to check the lights. A man on the street informed him that the lights were moving south.
As Meloro headed south on Samson Drive, his cruiser suddenly stalled. When he tried to restart his car, a bright light shone down on him from above.
Startled and terrified, he got out of the car and stood outside, looking at a giant object that was round in shape and very bright in the center.
After about thirty seconds, the giant object moved away. One of the most striking things about Meloro's observation was that he didn't hear a single sound from the UFO.
After the object disappeared from view, the functions of the police cruiser returned to normal. Trying to understand what he had just seen, he set off in pursuit of a UFO.
Meloro couldn't keep up with the UFO. He called the control room, telling them what he had seen, and gave them the direction of the object's flight.
This information was soon linked to all active law enforcement units in the area, and object direction reports were used to triangulate the object and allow units to move to its location.
Later, the Manager Rudolph stated that at least 14-15 of the officers saw a UFO. Their reports about the object and its movements were openly discussed by officers on the police radio.
The police service, with reports of UFOs spreading to neighboring communities, called the control tower of the local FAA airport and asked if there was anything unusual on their radars. The control tower said there was nothing unusual about their telescope, which spanned 60 miles in diameter around Youngstown.
Researcher Kenny Young conducted an in-depth study of the observations in Trumbull County. His requests for documents in the freedom of information case were rejected. He interviewed the officers involved and was sure they were telling the truth.
Lieutenant James Baker of the Brookfield Township Police Department was one of the officers monitoring the fantastic calls and decided to test himself. He climbed an abandoned radar tower in the area to get a better look at the object.
When he reached the top of the tower, he was shocked by what he saw - not one, but three UFOs. Three objects were arranged in a triangle shape, the middle object was slightly taller than the two on the side.
Baker also said that the object changed colors in unison-red, yellow, blue and green. He reported his observation to the other patrolmen on duty.
Astronomers have tried to explain these observations with simple stars that appear low in the sky and seem to change color. Of course, this does not explain the malfunction of police cars, their lights, or objects moving through the area being chased by police officers.
Some speculate that the object seen by Trumbull County police was a top-secret ship from Youngstown Air Force Base.
However, captain John Katak from the base said that that night there were no aircraft, pilot or any other.
Ohio police officers often recounted what they saw on December 14, 1994: police cars that inexplicably stalled, light beams engulfing their cars, one or more structured vessels that had never been seen before or since.
Observations of Trumbull County in 1994 were never adequately explained by conventional flying objects.

However, Captain John Keytack, from the base, stated that there were no planes, experimental or otherwise, flying that night.

The 1994 sightings of Trumbull County have never been adequately explained by conventional flying objects.
