"Flying cigar" stops the car

LE MANS (France), October 10. - Yesterday, the milkman Alexander Tremblay reported about a "flying cigar" that can stop cars and extinguish their headlights.

Tremblay said he was driving his milk truck along the road when the engine suddenly stopped and the lights went out.

He went out to see what had happened, and noticed a sparkling red and blue "cigar" about three feet long, rushing over his car.

After a few minutes, its engine started and the lights started working again.

Meanwhile ,the" flying saucer " that was reported to have crashed near Abbeville turned out to be a meteorological balloon that was used by the British Air Force. It burst when it touched the ground.

Other reports of strange objects spotted in the sky across France included a "flying illuminated mushroom", a brightly smoking orange disk and a gray car making a loud whistling sound.
