On Friday, August 26, the author of the original material received this message from an old friend and comrade at MUFON, who contacted him about his observation and the photos he took:
Re: UFO on Manitoulin Island - August 5
Hello, Michelle,
Chuck, here's a fellow MUFON investigator from the past.
I have a significant scope with a Canon camera and a high-resolution RAW image that I would like you to take a look at. This photo, which I took last week during a spiritual retreat, as well as photographing the stars, shows at least thirteen alien ships. Also that evening I shot a video of one of them, but it's a sphere, but it's also a jet for comparison.
Some close-ups of the ships to help you see them.
We need to talk because I've seen so much over the years, it's amazing, and I have other photos.
Have a nice day. Chuck
Here is the current corrected account that Chuck sent me on September 30, 2016:
This happened on Monday, August 15, 2016, at 12:17:45 for 1 second:
I was photographing the Milky Way over Lake Huron on Burnt Island Road. not far from the town of Silverwater on Manitoulin Island. Suddenly the night with my camera and then a flash of white light caught my left eye, but I ignored it as there is heavy air traffic in the area from the airport a few miles away from me. Then, after a few seconds, a very intense bright flash of white light and then red light caught my attention.
When I quickly turned around and saw a car stopped with a bright orange red light and an LED strip on the side.
The next day, looking through the Canon CR2 RAW file, I noticed that in the RAW photo there were about 13 stationary ships scattered across the sky. After demonstrating this with others, including MUFON and NOUFORS, we realized that these other ships have probable refractions due to the delay in triggering the camera. In Photoshop, I was able to clarify this and see more details.
The central ship with glowing orange sides, and then a bright oblong white-bluish rear part is all that is clearly the real object in question. A close-up of this object shows that it has a front flat end, from where white and red bright flashes come from.

Hi Michel,

Here is the actual corrected account that Chuck sent me on September 30, 2016:
Sighting occurred on Monday August 15, 2016 @ 12:17:45 AM for 1 second:
I was taking photos of the Milky Way over Lake Huron of Burnt Island Rd. near the small town of Silverwater on Manitoulin Island. Suddenly night with my camera then a flash of white light caught my left eye but I ignored it as this area has heavy aerial traffic from the airport several miles away. Then a few seconds later a very intense bright flash of white light and then red light caught my eye. As I quickly turned and saw a vehicle standing still with bright orange red light like and led strip on its side. So I immediately took a 1 sec photo with my Canon EOS REBEL T3i camera on a weighted down tripod with a remote corded trigger.
The next day while reviewing the Canon CR2 RAW file and I noticed the RAW photo had 13 or so stationary ships within it scattered around the sky. After showing it with others including MUFON and NOUFORS we realized these other ships where likely refractions from the camera trigger lag. In Photoshop I was able to clear it up and see more detail. The central ship with glowing orange sides then a bright long oblong white and bluish back end is all that is clearly the real object in question. The close up of this object shows it has a front flat end which is where the white and red bright flashes came from, and the UFO in question looks more like a chevron shaped type of craft.

Hypotheses
The heavenly bodies
The brightest heavenly bodies in the sky are Venus, Jupiter, and sometimes Mars and, of course, the Moon.
Venus is the bright yellow of the evening or morning star, shining in the sky on the background of evening or dawn. Maximum brightness of Venus can reach up to 4.3 m, and she is the third brightness of the sun in earth's sky after the sun and the moon. It so well reflects the light of the Sun that it is relatively easy to see and day, especially if you know the location. It manifests itself in the form of tiny blinking white dots.
Objects in motion, captured on a long exposure
Most often this artifact is called skayfish if the lens gets a passing bird or insect. It is based on the discrepancy between the speed of the video and the frequency of the flapping of insect wings. Essentially, each video drops a few strokes of the wings of an insect, which when viewed looks like "arrow", provided with long protuberances. The motion of the insect by its translucent body seems to "boom" and vibration of the wings give the appearance of bumps.
Events
Rocket launches (from space.skyrocket.de)
- Site: Jiuquan Space Center, Inner Mongolia (China) Vehicle: CZ-2D (2) Payload: QSS (QUESS, Mozi) Lixing 1 3Cat 2
Investigation
Based on the appearance and the fact that the photo was taken with a shutter speed of 1 second, these are ordinary celestial bodies (stars), blurred due to camera movement.
