Initial data
At the beginning of 1970, the border conflict in the Far East between the Soviet Union and China sharply escalated. Additional tension in the situation on the border was brought by UFOs, whose frequent flights in the spring of the same year were registered by the air defenses of both sides.
In addition, an increased frequency of UFO sightings was also noted over Mongolia, including in the border zone.
Mongolian border guards even fired at these objects from anti-aircraft guns. They were the first to publish a message about the appearance of UFOs.
According to their data, all flight routes converged somewhere over Soviet territory in an area located at a distance of 1,660 km northeast of the Mongolian capital Ulaanbaatar.
