Initial data
The orange light was noticed by an eyewitness in the sky of the city of Reissenhout (North Holland).
He's writing:
An orange sphere that flew high in the sky from left to right (moved to the west). The movement of the sphere was different from the movement of a helicopter or an airplane.
Original news
Oranje licht
RIJSENHOUT, NH — Oranje bol wat hoog in de lucht van links naar rechts vloog en apart naar beneden ging. De beweging van de bol was anders dan een helicopter of vliegtuig.
Hypotheses
Satellite
Ordinary satellites, which often look like single, not very bright luminous dots moving smoothly in the night sky, are quite often mistaken for UFOs. After the Starlink satellites (near-Earth satellite systems developed by SpaceX, in order to create a cheap and high-performance satellite Internet communication channel and technical transmitters for receiving and transmitting signals from earth and orbit) were launched, it became possible to observe groups of satellites (up to 60 pieces) flying one after another.
Events
Rocket launches (from space.skyrocket.de)
- Site: Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center (TSLC), Wuzhai, Shanxi (China) Vehicle: CZ-2C (3) Payload: HJ 2E (5m S-SAR 01)
Investigation
It can be assumed that this is a satellite or a space station. However, the ISS always moves from west to east.
