A witness from Indiana in Homer recalled the UFO event of June 15, 1963, when “the ship landed at the barns” and was additionally noticed by family members, according to testimony in case 71168 from the UFO Mutual Network Witness Database (MUFON).

The witness, her mother, brother and sister went to Rushville with a cousin, and they went outside to play when the events began.

We went into the house for a minute and then went out to the front yard to play. We saw an object at the barn – I would say 100-150 yards away from us. We were hypnotized

The witness stated:

I was standing to the right of everyone. We were all standing in one straight line. I remember looking to my left and seeing my brothers and sisters, as well as my cousin, and catching a glimpse of my mother standing behind the screen door. The device reminded me of a satellite consisting of metal panels with different types of recesses on each panel

Different family members had details from their individual point of view. My cousins report an object shaped like a saucer or a flying saucer in a different way.

My mother and brother are dead. Mom did remember the incident, but we never talked about it, and I never talked to my brother. In fact, I forgot about it until my cousin mentioned it to me about 13 years later

This sight made the witness think of a fictional movie.

“The object was standing in the parking lot, and I was thinking about the movie "The Day the Earth Stopped,” and I said to myself, "I wonder if anything will come out? ”As soon as I thought about it, the device rose above the barn and in a second turned into a black dot in the sky."

The events affected family members.

“My cousin got scared and wanted to go home. I said: "Wait a minute," and went to the barn, where he noticed a yellow ring of dead grass. I passed through there a few years ago, and now there is a shed for poles on this very spot.

Just recently I was talking to my cousin, and she asked me if I noticed any marks on my body that were always there, but I didn't know how they got there.

I told her that I had a small scratch on my left upper outer leg, which I took to be a chicken pox scar, but I wasn't sure. My sister also has a similar mark, only on the back of her leg. My cousin and I are in the same place. None of us remembers how he was abducted.”

Indiana State Department Director Stuart Hill and State Department Director Philip Devon Leach investigated and closed the case as unknown.

The object was described by Witness #1 as "an acorn-shaped object, with three three-foot panels around it, in two rows, the top row is slightly smaller than the bottom row, and each panel has what the witness describes as different lines, shapes, dots, etc.",

According to the investigator's report. No radiation, no sound, about 15-20 feet in diameter, about 15-20 feet high. No windows, no doors, no light, gray color. The witness describes the size of the object as an above-ground pool. The sister and cousin describe the object as a typical saucer shape. My brother claimed that he didn't notice anything.

Homer is located in central Walker Township, Rush County, in southeastern Indiana.
