UFO. Latvia

Yesterday, on 30.01.1985, I heard a story on Riga radio about an unusual phenomenon that was observed by the crew of an airplane en route to Tallinn. From the very beginning of the program, I simply did not pay attention when it happened, but after telling about the phenomena observed from the plane, I remembered that in the late autumn of last year, it could have been in September-October, my neighbors and I had to see something similar.

It was late in the evening, at about 22-23 hours. A neighbor called me outside to look at the sky, where, ka kona said, she saw multicolored lights (green, red, blue) in one place. As she showed, it was located approximately northwest of the village of Ligatne. I did not notice any lights, but in the north direction, this direction is approximately Ligatne-Valmiera, a vertical, rather wide beam was formed in the sky, which, after some time, multiplied and swayed with some amplitude.

The phenomenon continued for about 10-15 minutes. Then there was cloud cover and a kind of fog. I would like to note that there were no changes in the reception of television and radio broadcasts at this time.
