The message of Ermakov Yu.A. about the observation of an unusual object in Gorky:
On August 10, 1984, the following event occurred. I live on the 6th floor, the Windows face northwest. Waking up very early, I noticed some movement in the sky. I immediately clocked the time: 4-07. Going to the window (a little bit of weather, I woke up my son and we went out on the balcony) I saw at an angle of about 40 degrees to the horizon a bright yellow ball, the size of a third of the sun's disk at sunrise. the object moved silently along a horizontal trajectory (as it seemed to me, parallel to the Volga), with a uniform speed comparable to the landing speed of an airplane visible from a distance of 6-7 km. Subjectively, the object was perceived at an altitude of 7-10 km and at a not too distant distance.
The contours of the object were clear, the shape was perfect. its volume and materiality were felt. The glow was its own, bright and uniform over the entire surface. In general, it shone like the sun (in color), but it did not blind the eye.
From the object at an angle to the ground and in the opposite direction of movement, a ray of light in the form of a cone, or a luminous trail, the dimensions of which remained constant within 30 times the diameter of the ball, bypassed. The cone had clear contours, but the base was blurry. It broke off in the air, not reaching the surface of the earth, glowed the color of a neon lamp with a blueness, generally weaker than a ball.
The system moved synchronously, without maneuvering the beam, and gradually faded away, retreating a considerable distance. The total observation time was 10 minutes.
We did not experience any unpleasant sensations. The planes were not flying at the moment. the weather was cloudless and quiet. It was light enough outside.
