Sergei Borisovich Zhulin , an officer of the Soviet Army , writes to the Commission on AYA:
I am currently on vacation with my parents in the Lithuanian SSR. And, frankly speaking, it was this stay that prompted me to write you a letter, and then a conversation about an article that was published in the Trud newspaper about unidentified flying objects. I will be glad if your work will benefit from what I will briefly tell you about.
At the end of 1985, returning from a business trip to Ulaanbaatar, my traveling companion turned out to be an ensign technician servicing aircraft at one of the airfields. He started telling me a story that literally shook their military town the other day. The pilot was performing a task in the air, he visually saw an object near the aircraft resembling an oblong, flattened body on the sides of which the portholes shone (the flight occurred at night). He requested permission to make a training attack. Having received a positive response, he began to perform a combat turn. At that moment, the flying body with incredible speed moved parallel to the ground behind the hills.
