In early August 1978, I and four other people went fishing in Plavinas - the town of Stuchka, the Plavinas hydroelectric power plant. They set up their camp on the left bank of the Daugava River, about 2 km below the hydroelectric power station.

It was a beautiful day. Late in the evening, at about 12 o'clock, someone said: "Look at how strange the moon is!" "Yes, no. After all, the moon is in the opposite direction and round!" And the one that attracted our attention is much smaller and not at all lunar in shape. It looked like the UFO that cartoonists draw - a plate, only without portholes and legs.

The "plate" is hanging and we look at it with our mouths open in surprise. At that time, the VEF receiver was working. Suddenly one of us decided to turn off the music. As soon as this was done, the "plate" slowly and smoothly began to move away and disappeared. We noticed this coincidence and turned on the receiver again. The "plate" returned to its original place in the same way.

After that, we ran to our campfire in horror. After sitting in the camp for 20 minutes, we plucked up the courage and decided to look at the "miracle" again. This time we took a flashlight with us.

We went to that place, turned on the radio and she "arrived" at the same place. It hangs and does nothing.
