Responding to the publication in the newspaper "Trud" No24 of this year, I can describe three similar observations, exactly what I have imprinted in my memory.

3. On May 2, 1982, I witnessed another phenomenon.

That day, my wife and I walked to the city park of culture (also in Valmiera). At about 20 o'clock. 10 min. we heard the already familiar "double bass string" and saw a round, bright red light above the clouds, like an explosion had occurred. But a little later, a "red shmersh" appeared below the cloud.

The "tail or trunk" was falling down and bending to the side somewhere in the clouds, which sparkled with yellow light as if they had been hit by a larger caliber New Year's rocket.

It all lasted about 1 min. Then there was nothing to indicate what had happened.

I wrote about the observation to the journal "Science and Technology" of the LSSR. Through m-c, the editorial board sent me a letter from Professor of Historical Sciences V.B. Vilinbakhov from Leningrad, which lists similar phenomena since 817. Apparently, people have seen such and similar phenomena for thousands of years.

On May 2, 1982, local residents noticed interference from radio and television broadcasts around the time of the UFO's "visit". Only one of my friends noticed a strange sound and an ignition in the clouds. Apparently, people pay little attention to unusual phenomena that do not appear "right under their noses."

As an artist, I have a developed visual memory, so I tried to draw something.
