THE TESTIMONY OF Alexander L. Zakheim, an electrical engineer

On the night of May 14-15, my wife and I were driving. We passed under the railway bridge located near the platform "Slava" (Kupchino), and saw an object in the sky the size of 1/4 of the disk of the Moon (full Moon). The color of the object is completely white. For 3.5-4.0 minutes, he was completely motionless. The core of the object had the shape of a clear disk. There was a large, clear glowing halo around the core. It seemed that the shell of the halo was swelling, slightly changing the illumination. The leading edge of the halo swelled. In the perspective, from behind, there was a taper. It is followed by a trail resembling that of a jet plane, but zigzagged and short.

The sky was clear of clouds, but not dark. The moon was on the opposite side of the sky.

The swelling of the sphere gave the impression that it could reach the observers after some time. Therefore, there was a desire to hide in the house.

I stopped the car, turned off the engine. The receiver worked without interference. I began to watch, standing by the car. My wife was sitting in the car. She also saw this phenomenon.

After 3-4 minutes, the intensity of the sphere's glow dropped sharply, although the "core" itself was in the same place. Then the "core" began to be deleted, leaving a slight trace behind.

I had information about UFOs at the time of observation, but I had never seen anything like it in my life.

The next day, I called the Scientific Secretary at the Pulkovo Observatory. I received an explanation that, indeed, at the specified time, it was in this part of the firmament that an unusual phenomenon was registered.

2-3 weeks before the described event, my wife listened to a lecture about UFOs at the Institute of Technology. A Muscovite lecturer showed slides. When my wife saw the object I described above, she exclaimed that it looked like what we saw.
