I want to report a similar observation of unidentified flying objects described in the newspaper Trud under the title "And so, UFOs?".

I attach sketches and a written explanation of them to what I saw.

An incomprehensible phenomenon was observed in the city of Vitebsk of the BSSR in 1981. Unfortunately, I cannot specify the exact date, somewhere in the middle of July 15-18.

That night, together with the backup captain Viktor Khvostovsky, we worked on the Lazovichi-Vitebsk line. Upon returning to the base, near the village of Komary, on the opposite birch tree at 2 hours 1 5 minutes after midnight (the exact time) A glow suddenly appeared against the background of the western and completely cloudless sky.

At first, we did not attach much importance to this. The impression is as if you were illuminated by a spotlight. Where does it come from, a row of trees on the shore, then a field.

The glow increased, became brighter after a few seconds, a hemisphere of the color of a pale blue and bright white core formed around it.

The dimensions are indescribable, one might say gigantic. The condition became constrained, even more constrained, when a square appeared from the core and began to increase, one might say, stretch like rubber.

Having reached its apogee, it was divided into four parts. At the same time, the clarity of the geometric constructions was emphasized. The iridescence of the hemisphere is drawn like a compass.

Then the square disappears and the previous picture repeats. The denouement ends with the release of steam from the semi-sphere with a characteristically elongating tail and disappears over the horizon. The latter is randomly dispersed.

It should be added that any sound signals were excluded during the phenomenon. This case has remained a mystery to us. I hope to receive a response from the AI Commission and I will be very grateful.
