On August 21, 1980, at about 21 o'clock. The holiday village of Luchevoye in the Karelian ASSR. I was visiting friends in the country. After dinner, I went for a walk around the village.

Walking in the direction from the shore of the lake, I saw 4 red lights in the window of one of the houses. "A strange lamp" flashed through my head, but suddenly I realized that it was a reflection on the glass, and ran to the shore of the lake.

Running out onto the shore, I saw 4 red round lights above the opposite shore, arranged in a row, at an equal distance from each other. The lights were significantly larger than the warning lights of airplanes and helicopters. the lights were not moving or moving slowly. I observed the phenomenon for 4-5 seconds, after which the lights went out at the same time. The phenomenon was not accompanied by any noise.

The weather that day was variable, by evening the sky was covered with a gray cloud cover. The phenomenon was observed below the level of clouds on their background. It was just dusk.

From the observer, i.e. from me, the phenomenon was located in the south-southwest. The wind was not strong, rather weak, south-easterly.
