In Australia, they are going to create a semblance of a planetary "black box" - an invulnerable recorder to any damage, designed to record information about the Earth in the last decades of humanity's existence, if a global climate cataclysm suddenly happens, ABC News reports.
The device will be installed in the western part of Tasmania at the end of next year. It will document all the steps of our civilization on the way to disaster.
The size of the "black box" will be about the size of a city bus. It will install memory modules for recording concentration fluctuations CO2 in the Earth's atmosphere and the average annual temperature in different parts of the Earth.
Solar panels will provide the device with energy.
According to one of the developers of the box, Jim Curtis, in the event of irreversible changes on Earth, the device will allow survivors to learn from the previous experience of civilization.
