On December 4, 2021, at approximately 5:08 a.m. local time, this stunning slow fireball crossed the night sky and crashed into the atmosphere at a speed of about 83,000 km/h.
The fireball started at an altitude of about 99 km above the north of Morocco, moved to the northeast along an almost parallel trajectory relative to the earth and flew over the Mediterranean Sea. It ended at an altitude of about 100 km above the sea, over a point located about 85 km southeast of Ibiza (Balearic Islands, Spain).
The meteoroid that gave birth to this meteorite falling to Earth withstood the test of the earth's atmosphere and left it, moving in a modified orbit around the Sun. In total, the distance traveled in the atmosphere by this cosmic body was about 760 km.
