In St. Petersburg residents drew attention to the changing color of the water in the tributary of the Neva. The waters of the river Murzinka, which flows into the river from the suspension bridge was painted a brownish-red color. However, changing the color of the water in the river notice not for the first time. In social networks witnesses write that the river is behaving literally like a chameleon, changing color all the time — it happens and white, and black, and greenish, and even a lemon yellow color. The townspeople attributed this effect to the dumping of industrial waste into the river.

The city authorities reported that the complaints on change of color was sent to the Department of Rosprirodnadzor, which has promised to conduct an audit. The monitoring was held on the initiative of the Committee about environmental management, environmental protection and ecological safety of St. Petersburg. As reported by the Committee, the experts were not identified in the river the presence of oil.
