Initial data
Two young men, Tom Yates and Glenn Schiller, were parked near a Golf course "watching for unusual phenomena" when they saw a humanoid-looking figure surrounded by a hazy aura floating through the trees about 20 yards (18m) away.
It had a dog's head, pointed ears, and a long nose. The head was brown, with no eyes or mouth. Although it was clear of the ground, they could not see the feet.
The youngsters said he was 6ft (1.8 m) tall, with a "knobby-looking" body.
He headed away from Weikerle and the two moved their car about 300 yards (270 m) towards the Golf course, at which time they saw an object "the size of a semi-trailer" and shaped like a half-dome standing on the ground.
Windows were visible on its surface, and a row of lights surrounded it, and several "searchlights" were pointed upwards. After viewing for about 15 minutes, the object seemed to "dissolve", disappearing after 10 seconds.
The entire incident lasted about 30 minutes.
