Lucia and Edison were leaving the local movie theater late at night when Edison remembered that he needed to fill up the car. Lucia reminded him that a gas station was open all night on the Raposo-Tavares highway.
As they turned back through the alley, a dirt road that in those days ran parallel to the Raposo Tavares highway, they instinctively looked to the right and noticed that a new road had opened up in the direction of the wall surrounding the city cemetery. To the right of this road were tall eucalyptus trees.
The couple were suddenly confused when they saw a row of large old-model cars shining brightly as if they were brand new. To the left of these strange cars, people could be seen walking. It was dark, and they could only see their outlines in the gloom. Facing the wall, Edison slammed on the brake, turned off the engine, and applied the handbrake, while at the same time extending his right hand along the back of Lucia's seat and leaning down to say something, just as the car began to rise from the ground for the first time. As they drove along the edge of the cemetery, Lucia saw someone or something in silvery white to her right. It looked like someone was dressed in white, and a "black light"was shining on it. It was fluorescent and about 1.30 meters high. He was wearing a hat or helmet and a Cape. She couldn't see a face, and she didn't remember seeing hands or feet. It was dark.
She panicked when Edison began to yell at her that she was not looking to the side. She had the feeling that the figure wanted to cling to their car. But, oddly enough, the thing or creature seemed friendly, as if it wanted to say Hello.
