Donald fender, 49, a self-employed beekeeper from Greenville, was driving along highway 40 in Madison (North of Nashville). He was in his pickup truck, and his dog was with him.
In the vicinity of Cookville, his dog began to behave strangely, and fender felt that “someone wants to talk to me.” On impulse, he turned onto a side road.
He noticed a long object, like a ball, that stretched along one side of the road for a distance of a mile or a mile and a half. White and silky in color and texture, then he saw another one on the other side of the road.
Intrigued, he pulled over to the side of the road and stopped the car. His dog was already very agitated by then.
Then suddenly, without any transition, he found himself inside a solid white cigar-shaped room, or enclosure, about 50 feet (15 m) long.
He sensed, rather than noticed, five humanoid creatures gathered around him. They were small and looked at him with wide eyes. One of them was to his left.
Then they started asking him about various things, most of which fender couldn't remember.
They also gave him certain information: they told him that they were “emissaries of the world” and that they could only enter the Earth's atmosphere at this point or "window" along the road and that this place "would be the future home of space travel".
They also told him about terrible events, including major disasters that will occur in the near future.
He "saw" or was "shown" various scenes, as if he were floating high above them, in places of great destruction and devastation. They included scenes of green farmland that he identified as English. They were deprived of any life.
About 15 minutes later, he suddenly found himself in his truck with no idea how he got there.
There was nothing unusual to be seen along the road. His dog was behaving normally again. He felt very strange and uneasy.
Arriving in Madison about an hour later than he expected, he couldn't explain the time lost.
There were many things about this experience that he couldn't remember. He was so upset by what had happened that he went to Washington a week later to officially report what had happened.
He went to the defense Department, where he said he spoke with defense Secretary brown himself. His story was met with little enthusiasm. There's something else in this story that he didn't want to tell investigators over the phone.

There was a good deal about the experience that he was unable to remember. He was so upset about the experience that within the week he drove to Washington DC, to make the incident known officially. He went to the Department of Defense where, he said he spoke to Defense Secretary Brown himself. His story was met with little enthusiasm. There is more to the story that he is unwilling to divulge over the telephone to the investigators.
