An eyewitness from the city of Zwolle writes:
The girl and I were in the car when we saw a large orange sphere in the sky. The sphere was far away and bright. It seemed to sink a little.
We drove in that direction, and the balloon disappeared. A few seconds later, we saw another one.
This sphere also disappeared after about half a minute. We drove further and further in that direction and even saw 2 glowing balls hanging in the sky at the same time.
The spheres seemed to slowly divide and disappear as quickly as they appeared. As we approached the dam, we saw another sphere of light. The balloon seemed to be slowly descending, and a small smoke tail hung over it.
After he disappeared, we left.

ZWOLLE, OV — Mijn vriendin en ik zaten in de auto toen we grote oranje bol in de lucht zagen. De bol was ver weg en gaf een groot licht. De leek wat te zakken. We zijn die richting op gereden en toen verdween de lichtbol. Enkele seconden later zagen we weer een nieuwe. Deze lichtbol verdween ook weer na een halve minuut ongeveer. We zijn steeds verder die richting op gereden en we hebben 1 moment zelfs 2 lichtbollen tegelijk in de lucht zien hangen. De bollen leken langzaam aan te delen en verdwenen net zo snel als ze waren gekomen. Toen we bij de dijk aan waren gekomen zagen we weer een lichtbol. De lichtbol leek langzaam aan te zakken en had een kleine rookstaartje boven zich hangen. Nadat deze was verdwenen zijn we weer vertrokken.
